Today marks 13 months until my 30th Birthday... and by golly, the days just keep getting shorter and running by quicker... SLOW DOWN! The days.... the weeks... the months, where are they going? It's like the older you get the quicker they go. I feel like all season we've been planning ahead for our busy end to the season... many trips, events, meetings, weddings and two very special visits from family. Jesse's parents were in town last week/weekend and one of my brother's and his fam arrived mid-way through and are leaving today. However, we do get to spend the better part of next week with them again, so that makes me smile. :)
I have one picture to share, Emi {and the crew} came to visit me at work yesterday! We had a wonderful visit and are looking forward to more family time with both sides over the holidays!
We also spent a lot of time at the park... Here is Lucas rocking his new hair-cut!
But, back to this 13 months thing... I still have quite a bit of work to do on the "30b430," but I am making progress. I have almost finished our honeymoon scrapbook... I actually emailed our photographer about our wedding album.... we have a trip planned to NYC to go ice-skating at Rockefeller Center during Christmas... and the final 3 plates of our china are soon to be ordered... but I still have about half the list left for next year. I think that's possible, right?

All American!
Happy Election Day! Yes, I voted and yes, I am proud to say that I voted for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. I've kept away from the Facebook slander/bicker/posting all year... but since only a few of you read my blog, I figured it was ok finally state my opinion and not feel like I was just trying to throw it out there, just to stir the pot some more. I'm not going to get into words of slander and try and convince you that my pick should be your pick - because honestly, it may not be. We all want different things out of life and that's why we live in America - to be able to choose. As long as you casted your vote today - I'll give you the right to complain and bicker and slander all you want. Doesn't mean you're going to change my mind or convince me it's right. But, hey - welcome to America, it's why we love it here, right?
Today and many times over the past few weeks I overheard or was told... what does it matter? I'm just going to vote for Big Bird, he'd be a better pick then who we have running. Now, sometimes I do feel like that during campaigns... and the last time I felt that strongly about it, I ended up running for it {and winning by golly}, because I didn't feel like we are giving the voters a fair choice or a bright future ahead. I don't think that's the case we have here today... however, debates and media sure do a darn good job and spoiling any and all hopes any of us had for a bright 4 years ahead. Do me a favor, read about these two sets of men, look at their values, their backgrounds... and who they were before they decided to throw their name in the hat for one of the most powerful jobs in the world.
So, I'm done - that's all I wanted to say. I just want all Americans to feel like they have a vote and a voice and that it really is being heard... even if it's not on Facebook. So, tonight... we're going to watch the votes roll while I enjoy an All-American Burger and fries... hope you do the same!
Cheers to America!

Sunday Funday
I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure I blinked and the weekend was over. What happened?? I guess the old saying rings true no matter the circumstance - time flies when you're having fun.
It was a great weekend though, and I appreciated some time doing all the things I love... giving back to AOII, visiting with sisters {and good friends}, watching a little bit of football, actually making it to Sunday morning mass {thank you daylight savings time} and spending Sunday with my wonderful husband. Not to bore you with too many details... I spent Friday and Saturday volunteering with AOII.
I love my AOII team - they are some of the sweetest, most talented and caring ladies I know. They love AOII and have so much knowledge to share! So, it was a fun trip... and I got a bonus visit with The Maxey's for a few hours on Saturday as well. :) I also made it back just in time to watch the last half of the Bama-LSU game.
Sunday morning made it to mass - YAY - and then hit the road for a one last golf day of the year. I finally caved and bought a Groupon back in September - Golf & Lunch for Two - but it expires Dec. 31st... with warm days running slow these days, we didn't want to let it slip away. It was a beautiful course and we enjoyed spending the day with just ourselves... and a few other brave soles out on the course. I took a few fun pics that I wanted to share!

This & That
I hope you all had a fantastic Halloween week! I can hardly believe November is already here, but it sure feels like it outside. It's cold and overcast and dark - almost all day long - I'm ready for this weather to just go. Agreed??
Anyways, I had a very busy October - I knew it would fly by - and leave me quite exhausted as well! Today is my last trip until we head south for Turkey break - which I am super pumped about. It's the first holiday both my brothers & their fam's will be in town with us. I know my mom is ecstatic, but I'm just as excited! Until then, we have J's parents coming to visit next week and my brother and his family stopping by for a few days as well. SO looking forward to having company in town!! But, before I get ahead of myself, today I am heading up to Baltimore for the night to spend some time with my AOII team. We have such an awesome group of ladies, it's hard not to be excited. :) We are having dinner in Little Italy tonight and then hosting a workshop for one of our local chapters tomorrow. Luckily, It's only 3 hours away, so I can be home in time to hang with the hubs Saturday night. AND... I'm super excited for Sunday. I finally caved and bought my first Groupon {I know, right - it took me long enough}, but we are going to play golf and a really pretty golf club that is just south of us... and possibly get in some holiday shopping as well.
Which leads me to my post today, what's on your holiday wish list?? I have a few things I've been adding to the list that I thought I would share today...

Love these necklaces!
Cute Under-armer headbands & LuLu headgear!
I found this cute little number online, I'm in love!

Candy Corn
Happy National Candy Corn Day!!
Did you know that candy corn has been around for more than 100 years? George Renninger, an employee of the Wunderlee Candy Company, invented the popular confection in the 1880s and Wunderlee became the first to produce the candy. The Goelitz Candy Company (now Jelly Belly Candy Company) started producing the confection in 1900 and still produces candy corn today. When candy corn first appeared, it was popular among farmers because of its agrarian look. The tri-color design was considered revolutionary and the public went crazy for it. Lack of machinery meant that candy corn was only made seasonally from March to November. Candy corn has remained unchanged for more than 100 years and is a favorite at Halloween. Read more here...
So, in the spirit of the Halloween Season {and one of my favorite candies}, I decided to celebrate with a few ideas on how to use candy corn in fun ways!
A baby candy corn costume! {This is totally going to be my child's costume}
...and last but not least, Candy Corn Oreos!
So, for today - grab a bag of Candy Corn {or Oreos} on your way home and help us celebrate!!

Cheers to the Weekend!
Hooray for FRIDAY!! Who's ready for the weekend... Me! Me! ME!
Even though my weekend is packed full... it's packed full of family, fun and memories to be made! Here's a glimpse of what's ahead...

Tonight the hubs and I are going wine tasting at a local wine store to use a gift card from our wedding! {I am sure all of you newly-weds have plenty of those still laying around}
Saturday morning, I'm jumping back on a place to head south... to see the folks and enjoy a baby shower and fish fry with some great friends!
I hope my Sunday looks a lot like this... spending the day on the Key with my folks!
Soaking up some fun in the sun. :)
The real reason for the trip to the coast is to spend some quality time with my AOII's at an extension presentation at the University of West Florida. Go AOII!

Excited to be a part of this exciting time in Alpha Omicron Pi!
Cheers to the weekend... what do you have planned?

Walk-n-Wobble!
Welcome to Walk-n-Wobble!
A new Lexington tradition that we started last month. On Wednesday nights {sometimes every week and sometimes every other} we decided it would be fun to get a group of gals to together to walk... and then wobble! Many thanks to a long walk with Miss Kelly J one September afternoon, we decided to start the tradition. We've had girls' nights off and on, but usually revolving around the Bachelor/Bachelorette season - which, is always highly entertaining - but kinda got old. We have a pretty active group of girls, so we wanted to incorporate some type of exercise into our night. So, the idea was born...
The group varies... we have mommas, soon-to-be mommas, babies, puppies, newly-weds and singles {or one single lady}! We meet at 6, walk for an hour... usually 3-4 miles, and then head back to someones house for snacks and wobblin', a.k.a. wine!
Yesterday, we had a small group of 5. We had a beautiful fall walk and celebrated a birthday too!
I love getting to catch up with friends, old and new, and just have some girl time during the week!
